Variable Tuition & Program Specifics

Seven Acres Montessori seeks to assure economic diversity in our classrooms and to prevent any child enrolled in the School from having to leave due to a family fiscal crisis.

We recognize that families who might not expect to be eligible for “financial aid” still qualify for a tuition break. The Variable Tuition Program allows families to pay tuition that is commensurate with their financial situation. Application for variable tuition takes place annually. Seven Acres Montessori encourages racial, ethnic, religious, and economic diversity. Currently, more than 30% of the students enrolled receive a variable tuition rate.

Criteria

Priority 1 - Continue support for families currently on Variable Tuition.

Priority 2 - Provide funds to enable enrolled families to remain if personal finances change.

Priority 3 - Consider all other requests, including new families.

Program Hours

Seven Acres Montessori offers an A.M.I. (Montessori) education to children ages 14 months through eighth grade in the greater Fairfield County area. A non-profit organization, the school seeks a representative community of students, welcoming a diversity of race, religion, and economic background.

Half Day Toddler:	8:30am - 11:50am
Toddler Extended Day:	8:30am - 3:00pm*
Primary Half Day:	8:30am - 12pm
Primary Full Day:	8:30am - 3:00pm*
Primary Half Day (5 days) with Extended Day (Nappers) 3, 4 & 5 days/week:	8:30am - 3:00pm*
Elementary and Middle School (Adolescent Program)	8:00am - 3:15pm*
Early Morning (Primary, Elementary & Middle School):	7:30am - 8:30am
Late Day (Primary, Elementary & Middle School):	3:15pm - 6:00pm

All programs are five days, Monday - Friday.

*Toddler & Primary students are available for pick-up starting at 3:00pm; Elementary & Middle School students are available starting at 3:15pm.

Toddler students not picked up by 3:15pm will be supervised in the classroom and a late fee will apply.

Primary students not picked up by 3:15pm will be brought to Late Day and a fee will apply.

Elementary/Middle School students not picked up by 3:30pm will be brought to Late Day and a fee will apply.

Program Eligibility

TODDLER students begin the program at approximately 14-18 months of age. At age 2½, Toddlers generally transition into a Primary classroom.

PRIMARY students generally begin between the ages of 2½ and 3½ unless transferring from an accredited Montessori school. PRIMARY students are toilet-trained when they begin. Children age 5 and older enroll in the Full Day Program. Extended Day (Nappers) Program is available to younger children in the afternoon. The Primary Program is a progressive learning cycle which prepares the student for first grade. We believe first grade is one of the natural transition points to other educational programs and strongly encourage families to commit to the full Primary cycle.

ELEMENTARY students are 6 years of age when they begin the Elementary Program. Students complete 3-year cycles at both the Lower and Upper Elementary levels.

MIDDLE SCHOOL (Adolescent Program) students are admitted to this level in 7th grade. In some cases, students may enroll in this level in 6th grade. Students complete a 2 or 3 year cycle preparing them for High School.

Fees and Payment Options

Tuition:

An annual tuition rate is set for each Program. This rate varies based on the selected level and the length of the day. Families may apply for Variable Tuition and the tuition rate is then determined according to financial need.

Registration:

There is an annual, non-refundable Tuition Deposit of $1,500 ($150 for families applying for Variable Tuition) payable with the contract for each student to reserve a place in the school.

Enrollment Fees:

New Students Only: A one-time non-refundable Enrollment fee of $2,000 is due upon signing the contract, in addition to the Tuition Deposit.

Occasional Use of Programs:

PRIMARY, ELEMENTARY and MIDDLE SCHOOL students may use the Early Morning & Late Day programs for a drop-in fee on an occasional basis when space is available: $5 for Early Morning; $36 for Late Day, or, for a portion, $25 for first hour or if using this service between the conclusion of After School programs and 6:00 pm.

Payment options on Blackbaud Tuition Management:

Seven Acres Montessori uses Blackbaud Tuition Management, a third party vendor, for billing tuitions and fees. Families set up their own account with their billing and payment preferences.

Full annual payment by 7/31
Four equal installments due 7/31, 9/30, 11/30 and 1/31
Ten equal monthly installments due 7/31 through 4/30
