Welcome to Seven Acres Montessori

Hello and welcome to Seven Acres Montessori!

Here at Seven Acres we are proud and committed to our students, our families, our Staff and the future.

I will jump right in by saying, we hope that what our school offers is what you want for your child; an outstanding academic education, a safe, caring, happy and supportive environment, and a diverse, creative and thoughtful community of students and parents.

Our school is mission-based, and our expert staff and faculty do not view what they do as just a job, but approach their responsibilities with passion and purpose.  The very nature of our school's non-profit structure places your child, and all our students exactly where they should be, at the center.

At school, as in life, there are moments of joy, exploration, and happy surprises. There are also moments of challenge and friction. It is in these difficult moments, with experienced educators in an intimate environment — that your child will develop resilience, confidence, empathy and academic prowess, to grow and mature into a healthy, strong, independent, capable person.

Based on 120 years of Montessori pedagogy, we are proud that our roots run deep with a successful history of over 60 years educating students in Fairfield County.  Our staff are current and clear on trends and insights, yet we do not follow fads and jump on the next "hot" thing with a "wait and see" attitude of how it plays out, using your children and their futures as the test group.

Seven Acres is not conventional in the traditional sense, but we are a highly-regarded and well-established school with a deep commitment to child development, traditions and meaningful values, while offering nurturing relationships and rigorous academics. We "practice what we teach" and deeply live our values, expect more of ourselves and others, and make decisions based on what is best for each child and the health of our school community.

If you are looking for a home to ground your child and your family, find guidance in parenting, and partnership in values, I invite to visit and learn more.

Warmly,

Lisa B.A. Potter
